Czech tennis player and two-time Grand Slam champion, Petra Kvitova, has announced that she is expecting her first child.
The Czech player started the New Year by announcing her pregnancy in a post on her social media pages in the early hours of Monday.
Sharing photos she wrote, “On the first day of 2024 I wanted to wish you a happy new year and share the exciting news that Jiri and I will be welcoming a baby into our family this summer! ”
The 33-year-old tennis star tied the knot with Jiri Vanek, her long-time coach, in a ceremony held in July 2023.
Kvitova, currently ranked 17th, won Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014.
