Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District, extended his congratulations to the newly appointed officials of the FCT Civil Service Commission, including Hon. Alex Naantuam, who was sworn in by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Monday.
As a member of the Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Lalong attended the event and conveyed his congratulations to the pioneer FCT Head of Service, Commissioners of the FCT Civil Service Commission, and Permanent Secretaries of the Mandate Secretariat on their appointments.
Senator Lalong commended the appointment of Hon. Alex Naantuam, Chairman of Shendam Local Government and ALGON Chairman Plateau State, highlighting his capacity for service and excellence.
The Senator expressed his delight that President Tinubu recognized the potential of Hon. Naantuam, who is known as a grassroots politician that has made significant contributions to the welfare of the people.
Furthermore, Senator Lalong actively participated in the public hearing on the Student Loan Scheme, organized by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Tetfund, of which he is a member.
Lastly, Senator Lalong attended the 2024 budget defense of the FCT, where he emphasized the importance of utilizing resources judiciously and enforcing development plans for the rapidly growing Federal Capital Territory.
