Senator Ifeanyi: A Life of Service and Dedication

The Nigerian political landscape has lost a shining star with the passing of Senator Ifeanyi, who died today in London.

Throughout his life, Senator Ifeanyi was a beacon of hope, a champion of the people, and a dedicated public servant.

Born on September 3 1971 Senator Ifeanyi hailed from Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra state.

He came from a humble background, but his parents instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and service to humanity.

Ifeanyi was born as the first son of seven children to Mr. & Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah in Otolo, one of the four quarters of Nnewi in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Due to the inability of his parents to cater for the educational and material needs of their children, Ifeanyi dropped out of Premiere academy, Lugbe, Abuja to learn trade at a young age.

He has attended several local and international business courses and seminars in leadership and business management

Senator Ifeanyi’s entry into politics was driven by his passion for serving his people. He started at the grassroots level, working tirelessly to address the needs of his community. His dedication and leadership skills quickly earned him recognition, and he rose through the ranks to become a respected senator.

During his tenure in the Senate, Senator Ifeanyi sponsored several landmark bills aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

He championed causes such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. His contributions to the legislative process were marked by wisdom, compassion, and a deep understanding of the needs of his constituents.

In September 2022, Ifeanyi Ubah, on his way to Nnewi was attacked by gunmen in Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State – his convoy was shot at; at least 5 persons, including 2 policemen, were killed. Ubah survived as the vehicle he was riding in was bulletproof

Senator Ifeanyi was a man of impeccable character, known for his humility, kindness, and generosity. He was a unifying force, respected by his colleagues across party lines. His door was always open to those seeking guidance or assistance.

The late Senator Ifeanyi leaves behind a legacy of selfless service, dedication, and integrity. His impact on the lives of countless Nigerians will be felt for generations to come. As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the memories of his remarkable life and the lessons he taught us.

Ubah, who joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, a few months ago, was billed to seek the party’s ticket ahead of the Anambra State governorship election.

This is coming just few days after the death of President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu

Ifeanyi Ubah was married to Uchenna Ubah, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, with whom he has 5 children.

He also runs a foundation which is named after him; Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation
