There are strong indications that President Bola Tinubu is planning to rejig his cabinet to ease out underperforming ministers.

Sources in the Presidency revealed that a cabinet reshuffle was imminent, with some ministers likely to be dismissed and others reassigned to other ministries for improved effectiveness.
The planned reshuffle is seen as a move to strengthen the cabinet and improve the implementation of the President’s policies. Opposition parties, however, have expressed skepticism, attributing the ministers’ poor performance to Tinubu’s lack of empathy for Nigerians.
Some experts have also weighed in, suggesting that reducing the number of ministers could serve as a check on performance and improve governance. The President’s decision to maintain a large number of government officials has been criticized as misguided.
