Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has suspended four key government officials with immediate effect.

The affected officials are: Chrysanthus Dawam, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Jamila Tukur, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, Dio Lamul, Special Adviser on Rural Development and Moses Sule, Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency

The governor also made a minor cabinet reshuffle, swapping the portfolios of two commissioners to enhance effective service delivery.

Noel Nkup, formerly Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, will now serve as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, while Bashir Lawandi Datti, previously Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, will take over as Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy.

The suspensions are believed to be connected to the recent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for local government elections, which were marred by violence and interference in some areas.
