The Enugu Depot, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria,(IPMAN), has again appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State to save members’ from traumatic collapse by offsetting government indebtedness to them.
The Enugu Depot Community IPMAN, made the call in a letter of reminder to Prof Soludo of Anambra State, for the payment of the sum N901million to members supplied diesel and services rendered for streetlights in the state.
The letter which was written by Mr Chinedu Anyaso and Mr Nnaemeka Iloafor, Chairman and Secretary respectively said, “The appeal followed the resolution reached at the Annual General Meeting on Feb 15th.
According to them, sequel to several previous letters addressed to your office, other government and security agencies on the above subject matter, we held our AGM and resolved to write this further letter of appeal to you.
“This is based on a report that our members are yet to be paid the debt of N900, 664,805.00 to them for diesel supplied and services rendered in respect of street lights.
“Governor, we kindly appeal further for your intervention by settling this outstanding indebtedness to enable our dying members recover and continue their businesses.
“Meanwhile, Another general meeting, has been scheduled at Awka in three weeks time to report to our members on the progress made so far to enable us to conclude on what step to take next,” he said.
The marketers thanked Soludo in advance and promised to support his administration to succeed.
