The Igbos living in Lagos State are adviced by the leading Igbo socio-cultural organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo, to think about moving their investments to the Southeast.

The group Ohanaeze Ndigbo, urges the Igbos to look at investment prospects in places by highlighting the significant economic potential in cities like Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha.

In a statement, Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, stated that the group thought the current situation offered a strategic chance for Igbos to reevaluate their investments and think about directing them towards the Eastern area.

By making wise investment choices, Ohanaeze Ndigbo seeks to empower the Igbo community and promote economic development in the Southeast.

The statement reads partly:

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo encourages Igbos to seize this moment as an opportunity to reassess their investments and consider relocating them to the Eastern region.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on all Igbo residents in Lagos to come together and support one another during this challenging period. Together, we can navigate through these difficulties and forge a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.”

“Our vibrant cities, such as Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha, offer immense potential for growth and development.
By investing and building international markets in these areas, we can create prosperous economic hubs that will benefit not only the Igbo people but also contribute to the overall development of Nigeria.
