Residents of Nibo community have cried out to the government of Anambra state over the danger posed by gully erosion in Owalagba Junction by Ring Road Nibo, Awka South local Government Area, of the state

An indigene of the place, Comr Stanley Ikechukwu described the situation as an emergency that needs urgent attention.

He said the road is no longer safe and that the entire community is also at the risk of being permanently displaced.

According to him, “This is dangerous to motorists as the shoulders of the one lane road have collapsed.

“The road will soon collapse and the villagers are also in serious danger of losing their ancestral home”.

“This road has been like this, for the past two months. The rain that fell on Saturday expanded it more”.
