Mbah Pledges Continuous Support to Nigerian Armed Forces, Other Security Agencies

The Governor of Enugu state, Barr Peter Mbah has reiterated his determination to continue supporting the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in the discharge of their duties.

The Governor who was the special guest of honor at the Ground Training Centre Base Socio-Cultural Activities (BASA) of the Nigeria Air Force, Enugu was represented by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mr Aka Eze Aka. Governor Mbah pledged to continue building on the existing cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between the State Government and the military, for continued peace and security in Nigeria.

He said “Occasions such as this allow us to appreciate the families of our personnel for being supportive and caring for the home front, while their loved ones are engaged in the frontline. I salute your resilience and pray that your efforts shall never be in vain. I must reiterate the expediency of always showing kindness to troops and their families because we need to encourage and appreciate their patriotism,” he said.

“It is important to state that as we celebrate Nigeria’s culture in this relaxed ambiance, let us not forget the inestimable contribution of our Armed Forces in upholding the national integrity of this great nation. Today our troops are involved in several internal security operations around the country.

“I must commend them for their commitment, dedication, and discipline which have been their hallmark in the fight against insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of criminalities in Nigeria. “I would like to use this occasion to appreciate them for their sacrifices to our fatherland and their contributions to the sustenance of peace in Enugu state, the South East, and Nigeria at large. They have indeed displayed uncommon loyalty, resilience, bravery, and patriotism in ensuring peace in the country.
