…Says Opportunity Abounds To Train Newly Sworned In Council Chiefs, Councillors Inline With NILDS-Kwara APC Partnership.
The Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS National Assembly has urged the newly sworned in Chairmen of the sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara State to make service to the people their watchwords.
Professor Sulaiman gave the charge in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri.
He said the beauty of
governance hinges on administrative ideology of inclusivity in participatory democracy by the electorate whose votes albinitio brought them to leadership positions.
The Director General who said as heads of the third-tier level of government the onus lies on them to run People Centric administration and to take grassroot Socio- economic developments to the doorsteps of the citizenry.
While congratulating Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON for achieving the enviable feet of successful conduct of the Council election, he commended the leadership of APC as well as the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission, KWASIEC for job well executed.
Going forward on the recently zealed partnership between NILDS and Kwara APC, he said opportunity abounds for consummation of the agreement to train newly sworned -in Chairmen and the Councillors in the Institute as done for many states.
