Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has condemned the recent brutal killing of two Chinese Nationals and their police escorts in Abia state.
In a statement, Kalu, who represents Bende Federal Constituency of Abia state, expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the police hierarchy, and the government of the State.
He emphasised that the assaults resulting in the loss of lives must be thoroughly investigated, and the culprits brought to justice.
Kalu who commended the police for their gallant response that saved the rest of the Chinese team and their police escorts, stressed that there is no safe haven for criminals in Abia state and indeed, in Nigeria generally.
He urged all citizens to avail the police authorities of any useful information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects, assuring the authorities of the support of his office in arresting the culprits and ensuring justice is served.
