The Honourable Member Representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, has expressed his condolences to the Anambra State Police Command, Ndi-Idemili South, and the Oba community over the recent attack by gunmen on the Oba Divisional Police Headquarters and Oba Civil Centre in the early hours of Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
In his statement, Hon. Okonkwo emphasized that the security of lives and properties is the primary responsibility of the government. He urged the State Government to develop a strategic plan to address the security challenges facing Anambra State.
The lawmaker commended the Anambra State security architecture for their efforts in securing the state despite the challenges. He strongly condemned the attack and emphasized that dialogue remains the best approach to resolving issues.
Hon. Okonkwo also extended his condolences to the family of the victim, expressing his sympathy for their loss.
