The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Paul Nwosu has resigned.
The Commissioner confirmed this in an interview with this reporter, Izunna Okafor, on Tuesday, September 17.
According to him, while the reason for his resignation is still personal, he has done his beat in his service to the State and Ndị Anambra, having consistently been in the government for over a decade.
“I have tried. I have been in the government consistently for ten years, six months,” he said.
Mr. Nwosu, though did not disclose his next venture or future endeavours, said there was need for him “to rest and refresh, before thinking about next thing to venture into.”
Although, speculations and rumours abound in some sections of the media that Commissioner Nwosu was sacked by Governor Chukwuma Soludo over the recent leak of his “gwo gwo gwo gwo” dance video and some other undisclosed reasons; Mr. Nwosu dismissed any such thing, and re-emphasized that he had stayed long in the government and had tried his beat.
“Nothing happened. There was no… Has someone who stayed in the government for ten years and six months not tried?” he wondered.
The ex-Commissioner also appreciated Governor Soludo for the opportunity given to him to serve in his government.
