Breaking: Jude Osumuo Emerges Nzuko-Ora Nnewi President

Former national chairman of Ndiakwu-Otolo Nnewi, and former President of Nnewi Chamber of Commerce, Hon. Jude Osumuoh, has emerged as the President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, the town union body of Nnewi community in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State.

Osumuo, who is also the immediate past Vice President of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, polled 133 votes to defeat his only rival, Prof. Edwin Chukwuma, who got 117 votes.

The election was decided on Sunday, April 6, at the popular Nnewi League Hall, in Nnewi.

In his acceptance speech after the election, Osumuo expressed happiness over his victory and thanked Nnewi community for the trust reposed in him; promising not to let the people down.

The notable community leader, who promised to build a befitting town hall for the community within one year in office, also beconed on Prof. Chukwuma, who contested against him, to join hands to move the town forward.

Also speaking, Prof. Edwin Chukwuma, a university lecturer, said he would work with the winner to move the community forward.

He said, “This is a brotherly election. There must be a winner and a loser. The winner has emerged, and I congratulate him. I will work with him.”
