Nigerian singer, Augustine Amedu Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, has made a public call for a reunion of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz.
The group, which consisted of Blackface, 2Face (now known as 2Baba), and Faze, was a prominent force in the Nigerian music scene before their split in 2004.
Blackface took to his Instagram page to reach out to his former bandmates, emphasizing the strength that comes with unity.
He encouraged fans to join him in pleading with 2Baba and Faze to reunite, stating that their mission is one of world peace.
The Plantashun Boiz had a brief reunion in 2007, releasing their third album, ‘Plan B’, before splitting again.
Blackface’s recent call for unity has sparked hopes among fans of a potential reunion, which could bring back the group’s unique sound and energy to the music scene.
