…Attracted By Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi Through Public Private Community Partnership.
The Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR earlier today commissioned 1.2km of St. Barnabas-Nnewi-Oba Old road which was singlehandedly constructed by a philanthropist, Ambassador Chinedu Okonkwo(C-Success) and attracted by Idemili South Council Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), through Public Private Community Partnership(PPCP).
Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Soludo commended Ambassador Chinedu Okonkwo for his community service, stating that he is very excited that Ndi Anambra are yielding this call of PPCP.
While appreciating people of Ojoto for partnerning with government for the development of the state, he noted that nobody is celebrated for the amount of money he or she accumulated but what you give to the society.
He added that Ndi Anambra are the most industrious people on earth and we will continue to celebrate hard work, stating that Anambra must be the safest state in Nigeria. He further appealed all to show love to one another while celebrating new year.
In her remark, Idemili South Council Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi appreciated Governor Soludo for the massive infrastructural projects in the state especially Idemili South, stating that Governor Soludo has touched all the sectors and he is turning Anambra into a construction site.
She added that people of Idemili South are strongly behind Governor Soludo and she will continue to complement efforts of Mr. Governor at grassroot level.
Highlight of the event were presentation of solar street lights by Oba Ojoto and massive defection of PDP members to APGA.
The event was attended by Chief of Staff to Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner For Entertainment, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji, Hon. Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu(Ike Cubana), Special Adviser to Governor on Youth Empowerment, Hon. Dr. Nelson Omenugha, Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol, Chief Sir Chinedu Nwoye(Glamour).
