Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, has expressed his worry about the collaboration between some Anambra Vigilante Operatives and criminals.

He believes that this alliance is undermining the government’s efforts to combat insecurity in the state.
During a meeting with traditional rulers in Awka, Governor Soludo highlighted that many vigilante operatives have taken oaths with criminals, allowing them to infiltrate the system.
He also raised concerns about the lack of command and control in the leadership of these vigilante groups, questioning how effective they can be if their commanders are not residing in their respective communities.
The Governor emphasized that he has not signed the monthly payments of the vigilante operatives due to these concerns.
He also pledged to hold the traditional rulers and Presidents-General accountable for the behavior of the vigilante operatives in their communities.
