With the commencement of the electioneering campaign by the political parties in the state, participating in the November eight governorship election in Anambra,a PDP Chieftain in Awka South Local Government Area, Hon.Obiora Aniechebe, has called on the political gladiators and their supporters in the state to shun all manners of things capable of turning the state into battle field during and after the election.

Hon Aniechebe, who was speaking with Journalists in Awka, noted that the electioneering campaign for the November eight gubernatorial election in Anambra State has started in earnest in various communities across the state and advised Ndi-Anambra, especially the people of tge Awka South Local Government Area to de-emphasize my own person or party, but should work towards embracing the spirit of oneness for overall the progress of the state and even after the election.

While reminding the people that united they stand, divided they fall like a scattered broom, Hon. Aniechebe, a time councillor in Awka South Local Government Area, maintained that with the spirit of oneness and mutual corporation among Ndi-Anambra, the forthcoming election in the state will be adjudged the most freest, fairest and credible, come November eight in the state.

“You can see now, that the government in the state is gradually developing the state, people should allow the on- going development in various parts of the state to be completed”,he said.

He advocated for collective efforts in the development of the state no matter whose ox is the gaurd, so that when another party takes over, it will continue where the former government stopped, expressing his uncommon happiness that light is gradually returning to Anambra State.

He added that the problem of the state is what he described as our own party, reminding Ndi-Anambra that they are all from the state, hence any existing political party in the state belongs to them.

“Support any working party in the state, so that the state will continue to progress exponentially. My candid advice to Ndi-Anambra, especially the political class is not to turn the state into battle field”, Aniechebe cautioned.

The former councillor, who equally told the people not to see the proposed November election as a do or die affair by engaging into nefarious activities that will demarket their opponents during the electioneering campaign, underscored the importance of peace for holistic development of the state and making the election a huge success and reality, urging the politicians to develop the spirit of sportsmanship by accept defeat in good faith and as well embrace the winner of the governorship election without bitterness or rancor.

“Cheerfully congratulate the overall winner of the election at the polls for all round development of the state”,he pleaded.

He challenged the management and staff of INEC in Anambra state to guard against anything that can ignite unnecessary tension or creating a room for anarchy in the state by declaring the true winner of the November eight gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

He however, called on the voters to vote their conscience at the polls by saying no to any form of votes buying and selling as the election elapsed.
