The Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba has enjoined the staff of the ministry to give the newly deployed permanent secretary, Mr Martin Agbili maximum cooperation and support for enhanced service delivery of the ministry.
Addressing the staff during an introductory meeting held at the ministry’s conference hall, Awka, Mr Agha Mba described the permanent secretary as a youth activist who is ready to contribute towards the progress of youth development in the state.”As a gallant leader, he has already swung into action on assumption of office”
The commissioner further stated that the meeting was primarily for staff to familiarize with the new permanent secretary and remind them of the need to be dedicated to their duties and work as a family.
In his remarks, the permanent secretary, Dr Martin Agbili identified determination, consistency, loyalty and prayers as four basic facts of life which should be taken seriously . He urged the staff to brace up to challenges by showing passion and dedication to their duties.
While advising civil servants to be dedicated to their work and produce positive results in order to uplift the government they are serving and public at large, stressed that one should not be in competition with anyone but in competition with his/her work
The permanent secretary also said that the staff should always consult with the management and report any challenges for possible solution, adding that this will help them in their various private endeavors.
In his vote of thanks, one of the staff, Mr. Sunday Okafor welcomed the permanent secretary and commended him for making things to happen in the ministry and promised that the staff will give him maximum support.
