Youth Commissioner Lauds ABIG Nwankwo Foundation For Creating Opportunity For The Youths To Explore Their Potentials

The Commissioner for Youth Development Anambra State, Mr Patrick Agha Mba has applauded ABIG Nwankwo Foundation for engaging the youths of Okija and also creating opportunity for the youths to explore their potentials which is also in line with Mr. Governor of Anambra State’s Public, Private Community Partnership (PPCP) arrangement.

Agha Mba who disclosed this while representing Mr. Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Solodo CFR at the Grand Finale of ABIG Nwankwo Football Competition at Okija, said that 98% of the resources in the state are in the hands of individuals, leaving only 2% with the government, hence the call from Mr. Governor for partnership to develop the society should be taken serious.

The Commissioner also commended the Foundation, especially the founder, Chief ABIG Nwankwo for the initiative and assured him that the Ministry of Youth Development will partner with them, in the area exposing the 3 most outstanding players to the broader perspective, with the possibility of them joining the Solution FC, which is presently doing very well in the Pro-League.

Agha Mba brought to their notice, Mr. Governor’s efforts in youth enterprise development, in which the people of Okija had benefited so much, giving example with 1Youth 2Skills Solution, where a total 509 youths are being trained in Ihiala LGA with Okija having 84 youths in various training centers across the community, having also benefited from the Phase 1 of the programme, the SID programme, where 23,000 youths were empowered with digital skills and as well as the 1 Million Digital Tribe that was launched in the state, which is about to commence.

He also appreciated Okija Community on behalf of Mr Governor for the high level of security being witnessed in the community as well as the support for the newly initiated ‘Udo Ga-Achi’ programme of the Solution Administration. He stated that Okija was actually very peaceful, judging for what he observed, in addition to the turn out for the event which was so overwhelming”.

The programme ended with prizes from ABIG Nwankwo Foundation the Sponsors ranging from N1.5 Million for the 3rd Position to N3 Million for the 1st Position. There were also supports from others like Obi Cubana, who donated N2 Million to the project.
