The Executive Chairman of Orumba South local government area, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has urged youths in the council area and Anambra State to embrace empowerment programmes introduced by Anambra State Government as the world celebrates International Day for Eradication of Poverty.
Speaking about the theme which is “Ending Social And Institutional Maltreatment, he said, it highlights the hidden dimensions of poverty often experienced by people living in poverty.
He said that, Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo CFR is committed to banish Poverty and fast tracked accelerated development in the state.
Orumba South Council Boss said, Governor Soludo is providing essential basic infrastructure, by increasing the rural population’s access to portable water, basic health care, education among others.
While acknowledging Anambra State government for its policies in favour of the populace, he added that he will always complement the effort of Mr. Governor at grassroot level.
