Nigerian workers, under the umbrella of the All Workers Convergence (AWC), have issued a stern warning to those opposing the planned protest against hunger and bad governance in the country.
The workers’ group has declared that anyone who attempts to thwart the protest is an enemy of the people.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Comrade Andrew Emelieze, the AWC emphasized that protest is a legitimate right of the people and a necessary response to the suffering Nigerians are enduring.
The group condemned the government’s inaction in addressing hunger, hardship, and insecurity, saying it has led to a loss of hope among citizens.
The AWC reiterated its support for the planned protest, slated to begin on August 1, and urged all Nigerians to participate.
The group views the protest as a collective duty, essential for bringing about change and holding the government accountable. By standing together, the workers believe they can effect real change and create a better future for all Nigerians.
