Zamfara State Government has arrested a woman, Aisha Mustapha at the Unguwar Gwaza High Shari’a court, for alleged assault on her 12-year-old stepdaughter.
The Sharia High Court judge, Malam Surajo Usman said the court’s documents showed that the accused person had allegedly subjected her stepdaughter to atrocities that made her life miserable.
Aisha, a resident of Tsafe town, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State appeared before the court on Friday, where she was remanded in Gusau prison for two weeks.
The trial will continues on the 28th of December 2023.
