The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old woman, Rahimat Salaum, for allegedly killing her husband.
The arrest was made after receiving credible intelligence, and the suspect was caught attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings in a mini truck.
Upon interrogation, Rahimat admitted to killing her husband after a fight between them. She then led police operatives to an uncompleted building where she had dumped her husband’s gruesomely burnt body.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, released a statement confirming the arrest and investigation. The statement assured that justice will be served in the matter.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has assured that justice will be served and urged residents to be vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
He said investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
