Obiofia community geared as one of its members engages in a legal tussle with the leadership of the family union.
Ekweanaedo News while in an interview with the national president of the family union, Comrade Chibunna Okeke on Saturday at the Obiofia community hall, gathered that Mr Alphonse Ofomata Anaebuo, former President of Obiofia community is behind the legal battle against the Obiofia family union.
According to the Comrade, there was no initial disagreement aside from cautioning Mr Anaebuo about his incessant violation of the bi–law.
He said;
“His inability to make changes on the consistent correction of his act, led the family union to suspend Mr Anaebuo after a general agreement of the union as agreed on 28 December 2023.
“After which Mr Anaebuo and his Legal Adviser wrote to the union stating that they have only 14days to reinstate his client because they do not have any write to suspend him.
“Meanwhile, the Obiofia Family union in response to the letter, requested he tenders apology to the union after which his suspension will be lifted.
Mr Anaebuo instead of apologising as the union demanded, acquired a Court Notice against the Obiofia Family Union stating that the community union is “tarnishing is image and reputation”, which he presented to the union on 24th April, 2024 while they were invited for a peace talk at the palace of the community head, Obi Dogonu.
