Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has lauded the stability and innovative approach of the newly constituted board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Speaking today in Nkwerre while commissioning the Owerre-Nkworji- Abba – Eziama Mbano Road, Governor Uzodimma highlighted the absence of internal conflicts since the board’s inception, stating, “Since the creation of the new board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission, we’ve not heard any board crisis or management crisis in the team. We’ve not heard of any acrimony among the members of the board of management.”

The governor contrasted the current harmony with past challenges, noting, “We’ve not heard of the dissolution of boards. We’ve not heard vocabularies like sole administrator or interim management committees.”

He credited this transformation to the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing gratitude for the president’s foresight in assembling a cohesive and forward-thinking team. “I must therefore… commend and thank Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for bringing this new innovation, for bringing this team to drive the constitution of NDDC,” Uzodimma said.

Describing the NDDC’s new leadership as “a team with new thinking,” Uzodimma emphasized their role in fostering partnerships and pioneering fresh approaches to development. “This team have changed the way of doing things in NDDC,” he added, underscoring their impact on the commission’s operations.

The governor also praised President Tinubu’s broader vision, calling him “a champion of wealth creation” and asserting, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come to create prosperity. He is tested and trusted.” Uzodimma’s remarks reflect his confidence in the administration’s ability to deliver sustainable growth, with the NDDC’s revamped leadership serving as a key example of this commitment.
