The Udo Ga-Achị security operatives have once again recorded a major operational success following the destruction of a notorious gunmen’s camp in Ogbunka community, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, a location that had reportedly served as a hideout and operational base for criminal elements terrorizing the area, the neighbouring communities and other parts of the state.

The latest feat, which further adds to the growing list of successful and victorious operations carried out in recent times by the gallant Udo Ga-Achị officers, also led to the capture of two suspected gunmen linked to the camp, as well as the recovery of arms, ammunition and other dangerous exhibits.

According to information obtained by this reporter, the security operatives stormed the notorious hideout in a well-coordinated operation which forced the criminal elements to flee, after which the camp was successfully overrun and set ablaze to prevent it from being reused for further criminal activities.
This development was corroborated by several videos currently trending on social media, showing the camp engulfed in flames while the operatives were seen daring the fleeing gunmen to come out and prove their strength and the potency of their alleged supernatural powers.

In the course of the operation and follow-up surveillance, two suspected gunmen who attempted to flee for an operational mission were also apprehended by the Udo Ga-Achị operatives at a checkpoint.

The arrested suspects were later identified as Okeke Ikechukwu, a native of Ugbenu in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, and Ogboji Chibuike, who hails from Ikwo in Ebonyi State.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed that they were active members of the now-invaded and now-burnt Ogbunka gunmen camp. They further admitted that they were on their way to carry out an undisclosed criminal mission before they were intercepted and arrested by the security operatives.
According to one of the videos, a search conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of two pump-action guns, live cartridges, barrets, charms, shoes and other incriminating items believed to be connected to their criminal operations.

Reacting on various social media platforms, netizens emphasized that the successful raid and arrest should again sent another strong warning signal to criminal elements operating in the state that there’s no hiding place for criminals in Anambra.

They further commended the Udo Ga-Achị operatives for their bravery, consistency and commitment in confronting criminality and gunmen head-on, while also urging them not to relent in their efforts until the state is completely rid of criminal hideouts and activities.
