The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has successfully facilitated the release of two female prospective corps members who were kidnapped in Zamfara on their way to the orientation camp in Sokoto.

Initially, the Nigerian Army had intervened, securing the release of a male and a female victim, but four others remained captive.

The NYSC has now confirmed that two more victims have been freed, bringing hope for the remaining individuals still held by the kidnappers.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director General of the NYSC, reassured the public that efforts were underway to secure the release of the remaining victims.

Emphasizing the commitment of security agencies, he stated that the NYSC would employ all available strategies to ensure the safe return of the abducted corps members, uniting them with their families.

In a statement signed by Eddie Megwa, the Director of Press for NYSC, commendation was extended to the Nigerian Army for their dedicated efforts in securing the release of the abducted individuals.

The NYSC remains resolute in its commitment to the safety and well-being of its members, vowing to continue collaborating with relevant authorities until all the kidnapped corps members are safely reunited with their families.
