Tragedy Strikes Abubor Nnewichi Community as Mother and Four Children Die from Suspected Food Poisoning

The Abubor Nnewichi community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State was thrown into chaos when a mother, Onyinye, and her four children, Miracle, Dominion, Amanda, and Kosi, died suddenly from suspected food poisoning.

The incident occurred on Monday after the family consumed their dinner.

The exact cause of the poisoning is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing.

The father and husband of the deceased, who was not present at the time of the incident, was rushed to the hospital after suffering a shock upon returning home to find his family members lifeless.

Two other siblings, a boy and a girl, escaped the tragedy as they were not living with their parents in Nnewi. The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

Anambra State Police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, stating, “It is a case of sudden and unnatural death reported to the command.”

The police are working to determine the cause of the poisoning and ensure that justice is served.

This tragic incident has left the community in shock, and our thoughts are with the surviving family members and loved ones of the deceased.
