Barrister Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-East).
In a Press Statement signed on Saturday, August 24, 2024, States.
“Barr. Nweze noted “This is due to lack of failure to meet necessary requirements for students loan access.”
“According to her this omission is a missed opportunity for our students to access critical funding for their education. NELFUND offers a lifeline for students struggling to finance their studies, and it is imperative that our universities take immediate action to unlock this funding.
“Meanwhile, The Office of SSA to President has urge all South East universities to step in and ensure students respond promptly to the NELFUND verification request, complete all necessary requirements for loan access, and take advantage of this package to support their programmes. This funding can be a game-changer for our students, providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
“We cannot afford to let this chance slip away. We must act now to ensure that our students do not miss out on this opportunity. We owe it to ourselves, our students, and our region to take the lead and secure this funding.” Nweze said.
