President Bola Tinubu has honoured American billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates with the title of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
The award, one of Nigeria’s highest national honours, recognises Gates’ contributions to healthcare, technology, and humanitarian efforts in the country through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The honour was officially conferred during a special event in Abuja attended by top government officials and dignitaries.
