Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has been nominated as the SUN Newspaper Governor of the year 2024 in Agriculture
The nomination/invitation letter was presented to the Farmer Governor in Lagos, by the Managing Director of the Sun Newspaper, Mr Onuoha Ukeh on behalf of the Management and Staff of The Sun Publishing Limited.
The Managing Director explained that the Management of the Sun Publishing Limited decided to present the Governor of the Year award in agriculture to a Governor who used his office to implement programmes and policies that have direct positive impact on the lives of the people
He said farmer Governor Umaru Bago has met the requirements for the Award based on his sterling performances with tangible evidences in Agriculture, Infrastructure, Health, Renewable Energy sectors among others.
Mr Ukeh further said the Award ceremony will hold on Saturday the 1st of March 2025 during which other categories of Awards will be presented to deserving personalities.
Responding, farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago appreciated the Management of The Sun Publishing Limited for finding him worthy of the Award.
He said his achievements are a collective one from his team and the people of the State.
The farmer Governor, who reassured that he will remain consistent in fulfilling his promises to the people of Niger State, said the Award would propel him to do more in every sector of the economy for a better and greater Niger State.
