The Igwe-Elect Of Oba Kingdom, Engr. Sir Augustine Chinedu Emelobe(Eze Okpoko 11), alongside Oba Progressive Union led by President General, Engr. Anthony Uzor Ejiofor, on Wednesday 19th March, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), in her office, Ojoto.
The delegation included key figures from Oba community, notably, Onowu, Secretary of OPU,
Speaking during the visitation, Igwe elect of Oba, Engr. Sir Emelobe appreciated Mayor for her efforts to the development of Oba and Idemili South, stating that she is doing marvellously well. He pledged his unalloyed support to the government both at the state level and local government.
In her welcome speech, Hon. Obi commended them for the peaceful election and congratulated Igwe-elect, Engr. Sir Emelobe, appealing him to foster peace, unity and engender development in Oba community.
In his separate remarks, the President General of Oba community, Engr. Uzo Ejiofor commended Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, for the massive Infrastructural development in Idemili South. He further applauded Hon. Obi for complementing effort of Mr Governor at grassroot level.
