Some unknown Gunmen believed to be hoodlums
terrorizing communities in Ahoada Local Government have killed a former President of the Student Union Government, SUG, of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Endwell Awunze
Awunze was ambushed and shot dead along Ula-Pata road in Ahoada town on Wednesday night.
A source revealed that Awunze had left a protest opposite Ahoada East Council, where they were demonstrating against the tenure elongation of the Local Government chairmen in the state.
He boarded a motorcycle going to Ula-Pata road when a three-man armed gang, who had laid an ambush, opened fire on him.
Awunze died instantly, while the motorbike driver sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
