It was a moment of fanfare on Sunday, as family members, friends, and well-wishers joined the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Stanel Block Industry and Stanel Table Water, Chief Stanley Obiajulu, and his darling wife, Mrs. Aṅurika M. Obiajulu, to celebrate and dedicate their first child, Chiziterem Obiajulu, to God.
The event, which held at the Retreat Centre Chaplaincy in Awka, the State capital, commenced with a special mass presided over by the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Maximus Muojeke, who, in his homily, advised the congregation to emulate Christ and replicate His acts of kindness to humanity. According to him, life, forgiveness of sin, gifts of children, and every other blessing come from God, who graciously offers the same to humanity without considering their sins. While calling on the congregation not to take the grace and blessings of God for granted, the Catholic cleric further advised them to always humble themselves, draw closer to God, help one another, and use their God-given blessings to serve Him and bless humanity.
Rev. Muojeke also congratulated the Obiajulu Family on their new child, Chiziterem, and his presentation to God, even as he reiterated the importance of nurturing children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The well-attended event, which featured a special thanksgiving by the celebrants, was climaxed by a convivial entertainment session that rocked at the residence of the celebrants.
Speaking at the event, the father of the child, Chief Stanley Obiajulu, expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of their newborn son. He explained that Chiziterem’s arrival has brought immense joy and fulfillment to their family, and they are committed to nurturing him in love and godliness.
The Ihiala-born entrepreneur, who recounted many other ways God has remained faithful to the family, also extended his appreciation to everyone who graced the occasion, noting that their presence and support meant a lot to the family. While calling on God to bless and replenish the people for their solidarity, he further prayed Him to remember others who are still hoping on Him for fruit of the womb or other blessings.
On her own part, the mother of the child, Mrs. Aṅurika described the birth of Chiziterem as a miraculous blessing from God, attesting that he was indeed a Godsent, just as his name implies. She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God for safe delivery and good health, both for herself and the baby; even as she thanked everyone for their prayers, goodwill messages, and support throughout her pregnancy journey.
In their separate remarks, the paternal grandfather of the child, Ichie John Obiajulu, and some other well-wishers, including Barr. Princewill Egbuna, congratulated the Obiajulu Family on the addition of a new member. While praying for God’s guidance, protection, and blessings upon the child as he grows, they further wished him a prosperous life filled with accomplishment and happiness.
The convivial banquet that followed and the display of spectacular dance steps by the celebrants and the guests, formed the highpoints of the event.
