A tragic incident has occurred in Obehie, Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, where six members of a family were discovered dead in their home.
The victims, who were found by their neighbors on Wednesday at Isi Obehie, include three children, their mother, the mother’s sister, and her brother-in-law.
The cause of death has not been officially established, but sources in the community suggest that the victims may have died from inhaling generator fumes or a possible spiritual attack.
The only surviving member of the household is the father, who was away from home at the time of the incident.
The victims were natives of another local government in Abia but had been residing in Obehie before their tragic death.
The identities of the victims have not been released, but the Abia State Police Command has confirmed receiving a report of the incident. ASP Maureen Chinaka, spokesperson for the Command, is investigating the matter.
The community and neighboring villages are in shock and mourning following the tragic incident.
