The former Council Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area and the National Coordinator of IKEMBA FRONT, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, was in Ossomala, his maternal home to felicite with the newly crowned traditional head of Igbuzor clan in Ossomala, Attah Oboni, the 1st of Ossomala Igili-Eze Ebotenani Ancient Kingdom, HR High Chief Nnamdi S. Enebeli.

The coronation of His Royal, High Chief Nnamdi S. Enebeli, as the Attah Oboni, the 1st of Ossomala Igili-Eze Ebotenani Ancient Kingdom in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, witnessed the display of the rich cultural heritage of the blessed people of Ossomala at its best. A unique culture depicting the value the people attach to their root and cosmology.

Sir Awogu described Atta Oboni as a philanthropist with passion for collective growth, and one who has decided in humility to serve his people in what he called selfless service to one’s community. He poured encomuim on High Chief Nnamdi S. Enebeli, urging him to sustain the peace among his people and prayed that Igbuzor under his reign will witness lasting peace and the prosperity of its young men and women, and good harvest in all that the people do.

The former Ogbaru Council boss painted a glowing picture of Ossomala, saying that Ossomala people are positively proud people. “Ossomala is the proudest people in Ogbahu with irresistible sense of self-worth and a parade of vast array of noble men and women, and of valuor and of profound rich history. Ingenious people, who break fallow grounds.

“He affirmed that Ossomala is the cradle of civilization in Ogbahu and along the coastlines of the Niger- River covering vast areas in present day Anambra, Delta and Rivers States.

“Aside from being the first to come in contact with the Europeans in the lower Niger coastline, including Onitsha, Ossomala became a landmark with which locations were established and measured in precolonial days.” Sir Awogu said.

The coronation ceremony signaled the formal installation of HR, High Chief Nnamdi S. Enebeli as the paramount ruler of the community and symbol of authority of the Igbuzor people of Ossomala. The coronation attracted people from all walks of life and many dignitaries across Ogbaru and beyond.
