Senator Gyang Prescribes Calibre Of Person To Lead The PDP As He Presides Over PDP State Congress Election In Kogi State

Senator I. D. Gyang has charged the newly elected PDP State EXCO in Kogi State to quickly rise to the challenge of providing good leadership which will engender reconciliation and inclusion in so doing, earn the confidence of the critical stakeholders and members of the party in the state.

Senator Gyang made the remarks in his capacity as the chairman of the seven member committee constituted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP which conducted the Kogi State Congress of the party.

The State Congress was held peacefully under a congenial atmosphere that witnessed delegates from the 21 local governments who peacefully and freely exercised their voting rights, leading to the emergence of a new State Executive Committee. Among the newly elected officials is Mr. Enyebe Enemona as state
chairman.

The Kogi State PDP Care Taker Committee under the chairmanship of Distinguished Senator Danjuma Laah was on hand to receive Senator Gyang and his team and cooperated maximally towards the successful conduct of the exercise.

Senator Gyang, in his closing remarks at the state congress, noted that political parties along with INEC, SIECS, and the Judiciary are the pillars that sustain democracy. He therefore advocated that political parties, especially the PDP should, at all levels, be manned by persons who have reputable democratic credential and verifiable leadership acumen having passion for the growth, stability and viability of the party.
