A gun battle took place on Wednesday between soldiers and gunmen in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, which left scores dead and many injured.
According to the Nation, the attack occurred at the Aba branch in Ehime Mbano last night.
Following the incident, residents fled in panic amid constant shootings that filled the air, creating a climate of fear and uncertainty.
However, as of the time of filing the report, the Nigerian Army and the Police are yet to comment on the development
This comes days after the house of Senator Frank Ibezim, an ex-lawmaker, who represented Okigwe senatorial zone in the 9th Assembly and the National Open University centre in Ezeoke Nsu Ehime Mbano Local Government, were set ablaze.
