Former Emir of Gaya, one of the Emirates created by former Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje says he has accepted his removal
Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, who was one of the first class kings appointed by the governor says his removal is an act of God
The emirs were on Thursday sacked after the incumbent governor Abba Kabir Yusuf signed the repeal of the law which balkanised the Kano Emirates.
The governor gave them 48 hours to vacate their palaces and hand over to the Commissioner of Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs.
The development has been causing chaos in the state with different groups staging protests across the state.
Addressing the matter on Sunday in an interview with BBC Hausa, the dethroned monarch said he bore no grudges against anybody.
He added that he had no plan to challenge the action in court and was ready to serve in another capacity if given the opportunity.
He said, “Nobody will feel happy about this development, but it is Allah that made you [on the throne], and everything has time.
“Allah has predestined that this would happen long before we were born, therefore we do not hold a grudge against anybody. It is the will of Allah and we have accepted it wholeheartedly.”
