Professor Chukwuma Soludo, The Executive Governor of Anambra State, was among the distinguished guests that attended the 52nd convocation ceremony held at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State.
Professor Soludo through the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim said, the conferment of doctorate award on the business magnate is recognition of his commendable effort in the development of education, humanitarian services and in particular, his landmark contribution to the progress of the institution.
Dr. Ibezim described Chief Emeka Offor as an iconic figure, an example of doggedness and a phenomenon in all spheres of human endeavours who has impacted on the lives of many, adding that the award was well deserved and a reward for goodness.
Dr. Ibezim expressed optimism that the honour would spur Sir. Emeka Offor to carry out more selfless service to Anambra, Nigeria and humanity in general.
