In a significant move to enhance human capital development and strategically empower youths in ICT, Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu (Ada Dị Ebube), the member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, has empowered 100 youths in ICT. This initiative, facilitated through the National Productivity Centre (NPC), aims to equip youths with the necessary skills to compete favorably on the global stage.
The groundbreaking empowerment event, which took place on February 8, 2025, at Ezi Ndi Iche Hall, Awka, saw the distribution of 100 brand new laptops and cash gifts to beneficiaries across her constituency. Additionally, it provided ICT training and empowerment to equip youths with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital space and establish a means of livelihood. Participants expressed their appreciation for the gesture, acknowledging the potential impact of the initiative on their lives.
As a professor of Business Administration at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Prof. Orogbu has consistently demonstrated her commitment to empowering youths and promoting human capital development in her constituency.
