President Bola Tinubu has just embarked on a visit to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. He departed from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja earlier today at around 10:35am.
This visit holds great significance as it marks President Tinubu’s first official visit to the North-Eastern region of the country since assuming office.
He is heading to Maiduguri to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference as the Special Guest of Honour.
According to reports from the press, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, has shared some details about the opening ceremony.
The event will include an address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, an inspection of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and the laying of the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division.
President Tinubu will be carrying out these activities as the Special Guest of Honour.
