President Ohaneze Ndigbo UK & Ireland Lady Aqueen Ibeto Mourns Iwuanyanwu Eulogises Late Igbo Leader

The Igbo community has been plunged into mourning following the passing of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the Late President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.

His death has been described as a monumental loss, leaving a gaping void in the lives of many who held him dear.

Chief Lady Aqueen Ibeto, President of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the UK and Ireland, said this on Wednesday in Enugu during the signing of the condolence register in honour of the late Igbos leader

Speaking to Ekweanaedo at the Secretariat of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Enugu, she expressed her deep sorrow, saying, “Chief Iwuanyanwu’s death is a personal loss to me and my family. He dedicated his entire life, especially his last few years, to the interest of the Igbo man.”

As President General, Chief Iwuanyanwu achieved numerous milestones, but sadly, he could not live to complete some of the laudable projects he initiated.

His legacy, however, will continue to inspire and motivate future generations to strive for excellence and unity among the Igbo people.”

She said Chief Iwuanyanwu will be solely misseed and his shoes will be too big for anyone to fill because of his achievement as President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo

Chief Iwuanyanwu died on 25 july 2024 at the age of 82.

He was named President General Ohaneze Ndigbo April 30 2023. He replaced Chief George Obiozor who died in 2022.
