The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has reiterated its commitment to arresting and bringing to justice the killers of a popular cross-dresser known as Abuja Area Mama or Chantelle.

Investigations into the case are ongoing, with a senior police officer stating that the perpetrators must be brought to book.

“Nigerians should not be afraid. It doesn’t matter who he is or what he is engaged in.

He was a human being that was killed in such a gruesome way.”

A team has been set up to uncover the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death, with the CP taking a keen interest in the case.

The victim, in his 30s, was found lying lifeless on the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in Abuja on Thursday morning with blunt wounds.

He had gone live on TikTok on Wednesday night before his tragic death.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed that the CP had ordered a thorough investigation into the matter, stating that criminals in the FCT have no hiding place.
