The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Irewole Local Government Area has formally adopted His Excellency, Asiwaju Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke, for a second term as Governor of Osun State.
This unanimous endorsement reflects the party’s confidence in his transformative leadership and dedication to the progress and prosperity of Irewole Local Government and the state.
The event, which was well attended by party members, supporters, and dignitaries, saw a resounding show of support for Governor Adeleke and the party’s candidates for the local government elections.
Irewole PDP has also launched its campaign for the upcoming local government elections. The party has proudly presented Hon. Jide Jooda as its candidate for Chairman and Hon. Tiri Adepoju as Vice Chairman of Irewole Local Government. The campaign launch also saw the unveiling of the councilors representing the eleven wards for the local government elections.
The candidates, who represent a diverse cross-section of the community, pledged to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in their respective wards. All candidates are seasoned leaders with proven track records of service and a vision to bring sustainable development to the local government area.
Speaking at the campaign launch, Senator Oyewumi said, “Governor Adeleke has shown his commitment to the people of Ikire and Osun State in general, and we are confident that he will continue to deliver on his promises. We are fully behind him for a second term, and we are confident that he will win the election with a landslide victory come 2026.
“Others who spoke at the event included State House of Assembly member Hon. Abiola Inaolaji, Commissioner for Energy Hon. Festus Adeyemo, PDP leaders, and stakeholders who emphasized the importance of continuity, stability, and unity in achieving the party’s objectives. They highlighted Governor Adeleke’s achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment as evidence of his capability and commitment to the people, arguing that a second term for Governor Adeleke would ensure the continued progress and development of the state.
Hon. Jide Jooda, in his address, pledged to prioritize inclusive governance, economic growth, and improved service delivery at the grassroots level. His running mate, Hon. Tiri Adepoju, echoed these sentiments, assuring the people of their dedication to uplifting Irewole Local Government through innovative policies and programs.
