The Agricultural Empowerment Initiative of Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State has ignited optimism in the hearts of farmers in Abia State, in his quest to promote agricultural productivity across the State and region of the country in general.

In a monumental stride towards advancing agricultural prosperity, Governor Alex Otti has breathed new life into the farming community of Amazi Oloko through crucial support from the NG Cares and FADAMA initiatives.
The atmosphere in Amazi Oloko reverberated with joyous celebrations, as farmers were bestowed with a diverse array of agro inputs, heralding a transformative era for local agriculture. Hon. Osinachi Nwaka, the esteemed Mayor of Ikwuano LGA, took the podium during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of the vital materials.

In his address, the Mayor and President of New Era Foundation, (NEF), emphasised Otti’s unwavering commitment to further distributing essential materials, saying the exercise seamlessly aligned with the campaign promises of the Labour Party government. The distributed materials comprised a comprehensive range, among which were wheelbarrows, fertilizer, spades, cutlasses, herbicides, pesticides, poultry birds and feeds, fishponds, and fish feeds.

According to him, the essence of the empowerment is to enable farmers access various tools necessary for a sustainable and efficient agricultural practices. The Coordinator also expressed profound gratitude to Governor Otti for “his steadfast support”, while acknowledging the pivotal role the said initiative plays in fortifying the local agricultural sector. She said; “Beyond its immediate impact, this initiative signifies a monumental leap towards enhancing the local agricultural landscape, exemplifying the fulfillment of a commitment made to the community during Governor Alex Otti’s visionary gubernatorial campaign.
