OTTI Chairs Abia’s Monthly Security Council Meeting

Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, on Wednesday, chaired the monthly security council meeting with all heads of government security agencies in the State.

Briefing the media after the meeting, the special adviser to the Governor on Security matters, Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah (Rtd.) reiterated the commitment of the State Government to sustain the calm and peaceful atmosphere in the State. He thanked all heads of government security agencies in the State for attending the routine monthly security council meeting to evaluate the level of security around the State with the a view to strengthening and consolidating the gains.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Rtd. Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah commended the cordial and harmonious working relationship between the State and the security agencies including the collaboration among the various security agencies in intelligence gathering and information sharing to combat crime and criminality.

He thanked the heads of security agencies for aligning with the Governor to eliminate Inter-agency rivalry in the State. He reassured Abians of the Governor’s commitment to provide all that is necessary to support the security agencies to effectively do their work and maintain law and order across the State.

The meeting was attended by Nigeria Army, Navy, Police, Immigration, NDLEA, Civil Defence, Customs, DSS, Road Safety, Prisons and Homeland Security.
