The Lagos State Government has taken a bold step in enforcing a cleaner and more sanitary environment by arresting six individuals for open urination on the rail track in front of the Nigeria Army Shopping Complex, Arena, Oshodi.
According to a statement released by the Minister of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the arrests were made as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to crack down on public indecency.
The initiative is part of the #ZeroToleranceLagos and #CleanerLagos campaigns, aimed at promoting a culture of cleanliness and hygiene in the state.
The arrests serve as a warning to others who engage in such unsanitary practices, and demonstrate the government’s commitment to ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents.
By taking action against public indecency, the Lagos State Government is sending a strong message that such behavior will not be tolerated in the state.
