Onitsha North TC Chairman Flags Off Tree Planting Initiative In Akpaka Layout Onitsha

The Transition Chairman of Onitsha North Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, earlier today flagged off a community-driven tree planting initiative in the Akpaka Layout of Onitsha.

The project is being spearheaded by the Executives of Akpaka Landlords’ Association, with the aim of greening the entire layout by planting shelter trees.

During the flag-off event, the Council Boss, praised the landlords’ association for taking the lead on this impactful initiative, stating that it aligns perfectly with Governor Soludo’s environmental agenda for Anambra State.

He commended the Akpaka Landlords’ Association for this project, which he said will not only beautify the community but also contribute to a healthier ecosystem.

He urged the residents of Akpaka layout to continue supporting Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration and to come out en-masse to support APGA on September 28th, 2024 for the Anambra State Local Government election.

He assured them the full cooperation and commitment of the Onitsha North LGA government under his leadership towards delivering quality governance and impactful projects that will benefit the people.

The Chairman was accompanied by few APGA stakeholders, including Hon. Nnamdi Onukuba former Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Asoro, Hon. Shadrack Uwamaka Okafor, Chairman’s Chief of Staff Hon. Tagbo Emodi, PA Comrade Nancy Abadom, Media Director Ekene Ogene Promise and some Councilors.
